Her Love Caused Her Fall
‘Her love caused her fall’
She smiled down upon me
From her lofty branch
Tears rolled down her cheeks like diamonds
When she saw I had a ring
From her lofty branch
She started to climb down
When she saw I had a ring
Her joy was inescapable
She started to climb down
When her dainty fingers slipped off a branch
Her joy was inescapable
Her love caused her fall
When her dainty fingers slipped off a branch
She gasped and was so slow to reach for another
Her love caused her fall
She hurtled to the ground
As she lay broken on the ground
Tears rolled down her cheeks like diamonds
Now when I think back to her, I miss the days when
She smiled down upon me
