Narrative

Every Morning and Afternoon

Misery where joy once lived,
The fun of friendship gone wrong,
A life of worship turned hollow,
The spark of work now fading.

Messes left by a manager
Who never took responsibility,
Always ignoring, always blaming,
Fake smiles filling a small bakery.

Sweets that were once delightful
Became a trap in their making,
Gossip and anger brewed together,
Blame without a trace of remorse.

Credit stolen without shame,
Anger placed where it was never deserved,
Arguments stretching without end,
Hostility always in the air.

Happiness in leaving,
Sadness in friendships lost,
Anger at the wasted time—
And the hope to never
Face someone like that again.
