A Glimpse of You
The nights are tender, draped between the moon and the stars.
Every second, every minute — eternal.
Your eyes behold the universe in their depths,
But a fear lingers that eternity itself is ephemeral.
That nothing lasts forever is what we’ve been told.
You and I will be separated before the morning burns the dew.
Yet, if I had to burn through the stars
And freeze on the dark side of the moon,
I’d rejoice through the ice and fire,
Just to catch a glimpse of you.
