A Night
I woke up today when the hands met three,
A sudden waft of sadness took over me,
Though just a small thought, I sat in the dark,
With my heart heavy and gut twisted,
My eyes watered down my cheeks,
Their heat gentle against the cold,
And there I sat till the morning light,
Lost in the maze of endless thoughts,
My mind, an abyss of found loss.
She is no longer the joy,
But she is not my suffering either,
She is and will always be,
A night, I woke up and cried.
